A successful year

On this last day of 2012, I’m looking back at a very busy and successful year as an artist.

  • Artwork accepted into six juried exhibits and one group show, including two internationals
  • Five awards, including one at the international level
  • Eleven new artworks completed, including four commissions
  • Two originals sold
  • Artwork published in an art book
  • Artwork published on the cover of an art magazine
  • First gallery relationship
  • First retail relationship
  • First year as president of the San Francisco chapter of the CPSA
  • First experience demoing art supplies for a manufacturer
  • Participated in open studios event
  • Exhibited in one art festival
  • Attended the CPSA convention
  • Learned and successfully used new materials and techniques

Whew! I don’t get to watch TV or read very much.

I’m so grateful to everyone who supported me, whether by purchasing artwork, referring me to the right people, or simply cheering me on.

I’m looking forward to seeing what 2013 has in store! I’m choosing the subject for my next drawing, the first of the new year, today.
